Statement from the Board of Climate Action Network Europe, regarding allegations of inappropriate conduct within the management of the Climate Action Network International Secretariat:

The Board of CAN Europe is deeply concerned about the inappropriate conduct allegations made regarding some members of the CAN International Secretariat.

Non-discrimination, gender equality, staff well-being and accountability are core values within the climate movement.

We reached out to the Board of CAN International on 12 November to express our concerns, demanding that action be taken to have the matter investigated independently and thoroughly, and to act decisively in response to the findings.

CAN International is a separate legal entity, registered in Germany, with its own Board, elected by the CAN International General Assembly of which CAN Europe, like all other CAN national and regional nodes, is a member.
